Gilroy Guitars has been distributing 'THD Electronics' Guitar Amps and Accessories in Australia since 2003. Up to that time, THD had manufactured 'Bassman' clones, which ceased production in the early '90's, but had continued to manufacture their range of the widely acclaimed 'Hot Plate' Attenuators.

The UniValve guitar amp 'head' was the first of the new amps made by THD, and it was a super groundbreaker, in that it was the first production metal-cage amp, since then, many other amp-makers have followed THD's lead. The UniValve included several unheard of innovations, eg. No-bias-requirement tube-swapping, full power to all output windings, built-in Hot Plate power attenuator...etc...

Edward DeGenaro has worked as a “hired gun” guitarist and session player, his resume as musician or engineer includes Bob Dylan, Craig Erickson, Elliott Sharpe, Henry Kaiser, David Byron Band, Accept, Hammerhead, Alcatraz, producers David Rosenthal (Rainbow, Robert Palmer) and Roy Thomas Baker (Queen, Cars), and work on various feature movies, TV commercials and major labels such as EMI, Atco and Atlantic.
